• Write a script for the lessons, yes we can teach off-the-cuff when we know things well, but it takes preparation for brevity (trust us!)
• Practice. It's boring, we know. But honestly, the more comfortable you are, the better you will come across in front of the camera.
• Film the lessons with a great audio and visual setup. There's nothing more off-putting than bad audio or bad lighting - or a plain white backdrop!
• Edit the lessons - adding in visual teaching aids like slides, b-roll, and diagrams, makes the lesson that much more watchable.
• Well designed, downloadable resources support your students, giving them multiple ways to learn the material. Plus it's another way to show your brand ;)
• Build the course on your chosen platform to make it as attractive and accessible as possible!

Voila, you have a course, that you can go market.

Like everything worthwhile - it depends. How much time and technical ability can you realistically put into it? It's always the trade off between doing it yourself (potentially inefficiently and at your hourly rate) versus pay someone (who's more efficient at their hourly rate).

To give you ball park figures to calculate it - if you are experienced at presenting to camera, video editing, and building a course on the platform, it takes about 5 hours for 1 hour of content. But that doesn't include how long it takes to plan, structure, and write the material, prepare the extra download resources, and market the course.

We offer studio set up and filming services, but only if you are in the sunny Bay. So if you have access to a well-lit filming location, a decent microphone and smartphone, you can film it and send it to us. We really recommend you have someone help you though - nothing surpasses a second set of eyes checking the recording and set up, as well as encouraging you!
